Spartan SGX with Katie Winn Fitness
Join the 8-week Spartan SGX training in preparation for the Spartan Charlotte Sprint on April 10th. You’ll train and race together with the Anytime Fitness Spartan Sprint team led by a Spartan SGX certified coach.

Race Location: Concord, NC (near Charlotte)
Race Details: Get ready for 3ish miles and 20 obstacles on rugged terrain. There will be smiles and struggles along the way as you earn something to be proud of. The Sprint is a short distance race, but it’s full of challenges. Every time you run a Sprint you’ll push yourself a little harder – so it never gets easier, you just get stronger. Private Facebook Group
The Spartan SGX Facebook group will have all the workouts posted as well as bonus workouts, nutrition/recipe recommendations, and additional training tips for preparing for the race.
Bonus Workout Opportunities
Three (*optional) bonus workouts are being scheduled, including: hiking, climbing, and park workouts. In addition to the workouts done at Anytime Fitness weekly bonus workouts will be posted in the Facebook group. *Some additional costs may be required for bonus events, such as equipment rental fees, park entry fees, etc.
Discount on Race Entry
Registration for the Spartan Sprint is not included in the cost of the Spartan SGX bootcamp. However, we do have several options for receiving a discount on race entry.
Spartan SGX Wedge
Earn your Spartan SGX Wedge, only earned by complete at least 4 training sessions with a Spartan SGX coach. The Spartan SGX wedge is 1/3 of the Spartan Mind Delta.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be a member of Anytime Fitness to sign up? Nope! You do not have to be a member of the gym to join Spartan SGX training.
What will the training sessions be like? Training sessions will be an hour long and over the course of the 8 weeks progress through the three phases of Spartan SGX training (function, fitness, and performance). foundational training and progress to more obstacle specific as the race approaches. We’ll also have events outside of the training, we’re planning a hike, a workout/obstacle practice at Motive Movement, and a “bootcamp and brunch” where we meet one morning for a workout at a park and then eat afterwards.
Do I have to do the Spartan race? You are not obligated to do the Spartan race. You are more than welcome to do the training.
When is the deadline to sign up? Classes begin February 15th, we recommend signing up prior to that date in order to not miss any sessions.
Do I have to do the sessions at only one location? No, you are welcome to train at sessions at either location. If Monday in Greer and Thursdays in Greenville are more conventient, you are more than welcome to train at both locations.
What if I miss a session? All workouts will be posted in the private Facebook group. So if you miss a workout because you’re out of town or sick, you can catch up at home at the gym later.
